How yucast works
A short story every day at your level, heard a sentence at a time, with a streak and the words you've heard to show for it. , about half a minute.
My sign-in link hasn't arrived
It can take a minute or two. Check your spam or junk folder, and the promotions tab if you use Gmail. You can ask for three links every 15 minutes. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes, so if one has already been used or has expired, ask for a new one.
Something in a story is wrong
Press the flag at the end of the line under the story's title, and tell us which sentence. That covers mistakes in the Chinese, the pinyin or the English, audio that sounds wrong, and anything that shouldn't be there. If you can't sign in, email us the story's link (the address in your browser while it plays) and tell us which sentence.
How the levels are graded
The levels follow HSK 3.0, the Chinese proficiency test, as its 2025 syllabus sets out. Each level's stories keep to the words of its band, with a little tolerance.

Foundation covers the first words most courses teach, all of them from HSK 1.
I teach and want to use Studio
Sign in once, then email us from that address and tell us a little about who you teach. We'll switch Studio on for your account.
I want my account deleted
At the bottom of your profile, press Delete account and we'll email you a link. Open it and press Delete my account. The link works for an hour.
Your streak, progress, listening history and the stories you made go with it, for good. The privacy policy covers what we keep and why.
If you're a tutor, your stories published to the library remain without your name. Any of your stories shared but not in the library become unavailable.
If you have Pro, deleting your account ends it straight away. To use the time you've paid for, cancel Pro from your profile instead, and delete your account once it runs out.
